Radio Edit

After a massively impressive 2009 Brown and Unpopular Music have been working hard and are back and raring to go again. Set against a background of birdsong from the old BBC sound effects library, their new single 'Up Again' is a swirl of synth chords, electric pianos, cut up drums and vocoded vocals with a throbbing and snarling analogue bassline. For The Dub and House Mix of 'Up Again', the birds from the original version are replaced by stereo recordings of dawn choruses from the back of the Brown studio, complete with occasional passing traffic and birds flapping from one side of the stereo image to the other.

Boomkat review

Nottingham band Brown play to the Moon Safari-lovers amongst us with this slice of warm, laidback downbeat loveliness. Here processed vocals cap off a mix of analogue soundscapes, rhodes piano and library samples of birdsong. The end result is probably more Lemon Jelly than Air, although there's much more to come from the various remixes, which offer plenty of variation of the track: a dub version strips away the beats in favour of almost twelve minutes of swirling ambient motions, while the house mix opts for a very commercial dancefloor sound

DJ Heather: Always fantastic stuff from Brown and this is no exception.
Mark Farina: more good vibes from brown.
Hipp-E: really nice house mix... well done... like the others but will play the house mix.
Nick Holder: House mix is fun! Will play!
Shane Johnson (Fish Go Deep): Lovely mood on both the house mix and the dub. Will be playing.
The Littlemen:  ben is a class act and unpopular is keeping up a good level of quality. Original here is ace, house mix very playable... top notch.
Joshua Iz: Very fresh sounding yet still has an old school vibe. The original mix is really cool as well and I will definitely add this to my more eclectic sets. Thanks!
Ken ECB: I Love the Dub and will use it to start things off on Mixes. Thanks! House mix will also be put to use.
Nacho Marco: Liking the House Mix a lot, will play it.
Andy Riley (Inland Knights): Finding the stuff that isn't house much more interesting on this label. well done brown for trying other things!
Asad Rizvi: I miss house tunes like this...
Q-Burns Abstract Message:  Good stuff! Loving the original and the exceptionally spacey dub ... will use. Cheers for it!
Da Sunlounge: It's the house mix I'm going to be playing. But the Original is just great!
Frankie J: really like this vocal, a nice change of pace for me. thanks for the promo, will definitely rock this one out on the radio show.
DJ Linus: Yeah! Absolutely fantastic!
